Who the hell would willingly insure someone with Hodgkin's Disease?
And that in a nutshell is the crux of our healthcare debate. The easy stuff is relatively cheap and is not the issue, and this is essentially what Samaritan is doing. It comes down to who is going to pay for the really expensive treatments, and there are more and more of those every day. Not many people can afford to pay for Hodgkins treatments, so what do we do? Let them die? That doesn't sound Christian. If we aren't going to let them die, then someone has to pony up the money, which is what Obamacare tried to do, is make us all pay so those with Hodgkins (and other bad, expensive diseases) can get help.

Yes, I saw it after I posted. But I am not sure I see your point. Most felons are men also. But that doesn't mean that being male is going to lead to criminality any more than being a Democrat would. There is no causal relationship. I think the fact that ex-felons tend to be Dems is that Democrats are more accepting of people with problems, which sounds kind of like something Jesus would advocate.
I mean, I can't respond to anecdotes given by anti-Christian leftists. How would I know they are even real or truthful? And even if they are, what does these people's alleged choices have to do with Samaritan working well?
Yup that’s me. The anti-Christian leftist Quaker, married to a pastor.

I said it in response to someone who pretended like Catholic priests and Christians comprised the vast majority of child molesters while ignoring the fact that most likely the vast majority are religiously unaffiliated, as evidence by the fact that most criminals identified as Democrats, and far more Democrats are religiously unaffiliated than, obviously, Christians.
