It's fine. Sarah Sanders just assured us that the inauguration of Donald Trump has nothing to do with Donald Trump. Nothing to see here!

Obama limited corporate and individual donations to $50,000 for his first win. He agreed to increase it to $1 million for his second win. Trump criticized Obama.

Fast forward, Trump eliminated caps on corporate and individual donations for his inauguration.

The entire concept of inaugural balls and such makes me throw- up in my mouth.

How the masses accept this crap is beyond me.

Federal law prohibits foreign contributions to federal campaigns, political action committees and inaugural funds.

However...

Imaad Zuberi, age 45, is a private equity fund manager, venture capitalist, and an elite political fundraiser. He was among the top tier of bundlers for Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, meaning he delivered $500,000 or more in contributions. He’s already among Clinton’s “Hillblazers,” bundling $100,000 for her presidential campaign in its first months. Among the perks of delivering that much money to candidates is access to them, and advertising that access caught the eye of those who wanted some of it for themselves.

The smells of more selective scrutiny. When Dems engage with a questionable person, crickets.
FEC rules for foreign contributions to campaigns excludes green card holders. Imaad Zeberi has a green card.

One of the "Cohen tapes" confiscated in the raid on his office led to this Inauguration Committee investigation.

That was just one tape...the FBI apparently confiscated dozens of tapes during the Cohen raid.

The Left has done more to divide this country since Trump took office than Putin could have ever planned.

What are they going to do next to try and "get him" subpoena his fast food bills?

U.S. attorney leading the Southern District of New York that issued the subpoena was appointed by Trump.

The subpoena — issued by the U.S. attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York — indicates that prosecutors are investigating crimes related to conspiracy to defraud the United States, mail fraud, false statements, wire fraud and money laundering.

"Trump’s inaugural committee raised a record $107 million to fund events and parties surrounding his assumption of office in January 2017"

That’s a lot of illegal money for a relatively empty Mall and streets filled with empty bleachers.
