US liberals want to emulate Denmark or Sweden, not Venezuela.

I get the feeling the hellish nightmare of being a Dane must frighten you.
Why would I want to be like those countries?
I'm American made!

We will wait a long time for a thread on the horrors of socialist Sweden, its always Venezuela who of course went away from any agriculture or industry and became totally reliant on oil. They have had a dictator for years making poor decisions. No one here wants a dictator and no one wants complete socialism but we do want some degree of social support.

I never hear Alaska held up as an example, they also provide all residents a stipend from oil revenues.

Just a few years ago, liberals wanted to emulate Venezuela. Imagine if we had listened to them then.

Venezuela's problems were caused by bad dictator leaders, who conned the population who believed them.

How about the 'victims of socialism' in Scandinavia? They don't seem terribly unhappy. Let's hear their stories.

I have no memory of that. Could you please post some specifics and sources? Who stated that and when?
