You have to hand it to Republicans for their messaging skills. Nobody but nobody in the US political arena has proposed socialism for the United States. Yet, here they are, waving hands, warning, shouting that socialism is in the immediate future if Democrats take over in the US. And people on the right at least are sucking it all up as fact. The ignorance and gullibility is astounding.
The rest of the developed first world just uses the more relevant word "STUPID" to describe those "typical" characteristics.

Venezuela is true Marxism. Europe is capitalism with more dafety nets and high taxes. Not similar other than confused people not understanding meaning of socialism.
It frightens me. They have nothing. They can't own a car due to the expense and gas prices, they ride bikes everywhere in all weather. They have extremely tiny living spaces, they have no "things", not even hobbies. They can't afford anything. The only thing they have is a small meal on their table and healthcare. That's it for the majority of the people there. Polls say they are one of the happiest people, it's because they don't know any better. How they live is all they ever known. Being Danish isn't so grand, it's actually quite boring and small minded.
Lol. They only travel abroad way more than the average American and have plenty of time off to go off into nature and spend time with loved ones.
That sounds way better to me than having a giant McMansion and cars that you can't enjoy because you're slaving your life away in some soulless office 60 hours a week, stuck in traffic 2-4 hours a day.
And Americans have hobbies? What, like watching football on TV and mindlessly buying crap they don't need and consuming? Or collecting guns? lol
Instead of arguing about why socialism is bad, why not consider what has caused our country to be so broken that people are looking for a better way?
If people were looking for a better way, they'd be finding a way to fly their rubberband powered private jets to Finland or they would be heading south across the Rio Bravo instead of north across it.
Y'all been studying AOC a bit too much.

Yeah, I haven't been trippin on it too hard neither, until I heard about the zoo animals.
If you had to eat a zoo animal, where would you go? Emu might be tasty. Don't see myself chewin on a chunk of Rhino, but hey, that's just me, ymmv.

I’d eat whatever is available.
But I wouldn’t expect the United States to come and fix it.
