Meredith Watson claims Fairfax raped her in 2000, when they were both students at Duke University.

A second woman has come forward accusing Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax of sexual assault. In a letter from her lawyer, Meredith Watson claims she was raped by Fairfax in 2000, when they were both students at Duke University. The letter characterizes the alleged attack as “premeditated and aggressive.” “The two were friends but never dated or had any romantic relationship,” the letter says.

need to see if the denials include a petulant scowl like Judge Whatzhisface, that would prove his innocence to me

Kaneedreck Adams, an attorney who reportedly attended with Watson, told The Washington Post that she came crying to him in the spring of 2000.

“She was upset,” Adams told the newspaper. “She told me she had been raped and she named Justin.”

The statement claimed Watson is coming forward “out of a strong sense of civic duty” and her belief that those in government “should be of the highest character.”

“She has no interest in becoming a media personality or reliving the trauma that has greatly affected her life,” the statement read. “Similarly, she is not seeking any financial damages.”

Watson’s firm said Fairfax and his attorneys have been notified of her claims.

Is it OK for Black Politicians in the Democratic Party to Rape women?
So far ..... it looks like it is. IF she told people at the time and has proof of that - do they just sweep it under the rug? Northam and Fairfax are both refusing to resign - interesting times.

Virginia is certainly a mess and the Democrats don't seem very interested in cleaning their own house.

The world isn't large enough to hold this degree of hypocrisy.

And that's no defense of Justin Fairfax, just complete and utter disgust at those who excuse the actions of white Republicans while accusing black Democrats for doing the exact same thing the white Republicans have also credibly been accused of. If Kavanaugh's denial is enough for you, then there is zero excuse except for racism and political partisanship to say that Fairfax's denial isn't enough. Personally, I think NEITHER should be in public office.

What is it with these rapey bozos ?

No means No. Where is the fun when your partner is unwilling or passed out?

Still we should all extend the same courtesy to this guy that was given to Kavanaugh in that you are innocent until proven guilty. Oh wait the Left didn't give him the benefit of the doubt...

Surely Senator Mazie Hirono is making the rounds on news and talk shows to denounce Lt. Governor Fairfax and to insist that his victims must be believed because, you know, they are women.

oh, goody, another hypocrite. Which is it - the man's denial is enough in which case Fairfax should be left alone, or the denial isn't enough and Kavanaugh has no business being in public life, never mind the Supreme Court.

You don't get to have it both ways.

Here is another article.

Dems are making a big mistake choosing race over sex. Women are half the population.

Do as Dems say, not as they do.

Fairfax deserves his day in COURT or a proper hearing. No one can say he is guilty or not guilty or should resign unless/until there is proof provided for these sexual assault accusations. Kavanaugh was convicted in the court of public opinion with zero proof for the allegations against him and his mistreatment really pissed me off.

Due process, people!
