Thoughtful Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. wants backpay for TSA and to defund Department of Homeland Security too. Amazing !!!

Is Minn. sending their best to Washington ?

Freshman Dem calls for defunding Homeland Security – after insisting TSA workers get backpay
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/oma...rs-get-backpay

Calls from Democrats to abolish ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), there hasn’t been a strong demand to defund the entire Department of Homeland Security, which also includes the Transportation Safety Administration, Secret Service, Coast Guard and Federal Emergency Management Agency.

As long as they are employed, they are employed. I support defunding Homeland Security also. Then I will support a fund to help the displaced find new employment.

Actually I'm in agreement with this particular Democrat.

Homeland Security was a huge government overreach that we don't need. And anyone who has worked is owed their pay.

Sounds like you are on par with Omar.
Putting them out of a job first leads to unemployment and no guarantee of new employment.
How thoughtful !!!

I completely disagree. Do away with ICE, Border Patrol, FEMA, Secret Service, Coast Guard, cybersecurity?

Who voted this woman in? No issue with reigning in an agency's over-reaching to target a particular political group (usually Republicans) or political opponents, but please try to imagine the chaos that would ensue without these agencies......

You do understand why she wants to do away with our national security, right?

Aha..... Disrupting the lives of thousands of families is minutia. Sounds a lot like the woodchipper.

We didn't have the Secret Service or Coast Guard before we had a Dept of Homeland Security?
