Israel is losing the most important war: world opinion. They are facing boycotts from nations and corporations around the world including the US over the issue of Palestinian statehood and their treatment of Palestinians under their authority. In addition, antisemitism is making a comeback in Europe.

Much of the support is in proximity in addition to the downside of firing at a country nearby, sounds like a death pill.

Don't worry the Kushner peace plan will fix that, step one was naming Jerusalem the capital.

Those two are related, but it's a chicken-and-the-egg type thing. Is worldwide antisemitism rising because of Israeli policy (a prejudice which is wrong in and of itself) or are Antisemites helping to advance hostility against Jews by criticizing Israel and conflating the two?

Take the U.N. Do they have significantly more resolutions condemning Israel for human rights violations than Syria or Saudi Arabia, both with horrendous human rights violations,.because the former is a Jewish country? Isn't the antisemitism among the Arab countries in the U.N. influencing their decisions?

A better question is, will the other nations of the world be OK with Hezzbolah, or the like, taking control of Israel’s nuclear weapons?

How in the world would they be able to do that? Israel would stop that with a pre-emptive strike if that looked imminent.

The world was fine with their pre-emptive strike in 1967. If they had waited to be attacked, Israel would have lost the capacity to defend itself.

And just think....little Israel overwhelmed three much larger enemy countries in less than a week.

Here's another tidbit that you may or may not know: Israel almost fell to the Arabs when they (the Arabs) launched the Yom Kippur War. Golda Meier had several hours' warning of a possible attack, but the evidence was too scanty as to when it might be and she feared that the world would condemn Israel for a preemptive strike. So....she did nothing.

In her later years, she said her decision not to launch a preemptive strike in 1972 was the biggest regret of her life.

Using nukes is not Israel's decision since using nukes might provoke other countries to use their nukes. It's a destabilizing act that no one knows how it will end up. That's why your papa(USA) will keep your hands pressed to the table away from the nuclear trigger.
I know the Israeli society and the commanders much better than any person in this thread. As an infantry lieutenant-colonel (reserve) in the IDF I spoke with different people in different ranks. And yes, in a case of to be or not to be we will push the trigger. And our "papa" will not be able to do anything about it.

They aren’t gonna take Europe out. The ME either. You just don’t get it.

Israel should not force the United States’ hand in that way. The United States may love Israel, but they aren’t gonna choose Israel over Europe and the Arabs as long as oil remains an important commodity. Don’t test my theory and find out the hard way.

You’re fantasizing. The last WMD used in a war was in japan and it’s gonna remain that way. If a nuke is ever used again, it won’t be Israel doing it. It will not be allowed. There are more important considerations than Israel winning a war.
I think you are missing a point. In a case of to be or not to be, we are not going to ask permission. We will take with us anything that we can rich. This time we are not going away alone like in the Holocaust.
