You had me until you blamed it all on the republicans. Barack H. Obama was right in the middle of this time period, from Reagan to Trump, he is just as responsible as anyone.

But being humans, we should try to keep the difference between the two as little as possible. It is no coincidence that the countries with the best GINI index lead virtually all rankings on other important aspects as well.

Also, your whole view sounds as if you considered life to be a football match. Well, it is not. There is no point in a small group winning when society as a whole loses.
And, unlike with a football match, there is no reset. A team may lose this game, but they may win the next. With privileged and underprivileged groups of society that is not the case. There is no reset, privilege and the lack thereof are very stubborn. Reminds me of "social mobility", which interestingly is also the higher the more favorable the GINI index is.

Interesting chart, Denmark has the lowest level of inequality, and at the same time the highest level of social mobility...

please point out to me if you would, the specific part of the Constitution that gives the power to government to dictate how much money/wealth anyone is allowed to have.

One idea might be to severely curb inheriting.
Another idea is to teach our kids to not be jealous of others who have more than we do.

Why?

Being humans, we should quit worrying about other people who have more than we do. Being humans, we should focus on lifting the bottom rather than reducing the top.

Cool. And how exactly does that occur? Does it happen through magic? Or do you think it happens through trickle down? Because history says that trickle down doesn't work. How do we lift the bottom up? Because anytime anyone discusses that the right goes insane and starts going on about socialism.

People actually do not care about others having more, but they do care when they can hardly make ends meet while others pad their pockets like there is no tomorrow. It is not about jealousy but justice.

One really has to be quite thick not to realize that wealth and income distribution has totally gotten out of control.

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."

That's how the bottom is lifted up. I just wish the Democrats would put their money where there mouths are. Supposedly they are the party that looks after the poor and disadvantaged. Yet year after year, we see little results. The bottom is not being lifted up.

Listen to Mike Rowe speak on various tv shows. His point is that there are thousands of blue collar jobs out there that remain unfilled. Why not build voc schools in the lower income zip codes and teach the populace how to work and lift themselves up? Yes the Dems rarely produce. Very poor representation if you ask me....

Democrats do feed the poor. They feed them promises, lead them on with dangling carrots for votes.
