Extreme rightist - Someone who thinks that straight white Christians are the only truly good Americans with maybe just a very few exceptions
Extreme leftist - Someone who thinks that (1) the wishes of a minority group regarding any kind of policy should almost always be granted, even if the majority of people object; and (2) that it is never solely his or her fault when someone makes poor choices in life, and that everyone is owed more than just the basics necessities of survival, even if they have always refused to work (assuming that they can work)
What is your definition of one or both of these?
P.S. I want to make it clear that I dislike people who fall into either of the above two categories!
