So politicians that can't be trusted to do their job are going to be given the power to decide how big a piece of the pie we get and what they can get and have also. Socialism is all about the ruling classes power.

If that’s the case we’ve been socialist since 1776.

While the government at all levels IS a major problem, that problem only exists because people of almost all political persuasions vote to elect politicians who promise to impose THEIR will, beliefs, morality and dictates upon society rather than operating the government within its strict enumerated limits. This problem is not limited people on the left or right. It is pretty much universal.

But then again, that's just MY opinion, for what it's worth.

Imagine the f-ing bird brain you'd have to have to think that the ruling class doesn't have all the power under capitalism.

So a small minority, probably consisting of the anarchists, libertarians and far-right, think Government is the problem.

Never would have guessed!

How about taking back the government from the corrupt ruling donor class?

Just mindlessly saying all government is bad and should be eliminated doesnt make sense. A Congo style society with weak governments and local oligarchs and warlords filling the vacuum is far worse than a bigger public safety net that care of the elderly, the sick, the poor and the disabled.

What are you talking about? Socialism has nothing to do with government and Bernie is the only candidate who is funded by ordinary Americans and refuses bribe money from the ruling elite. Who do you vote for and who are their major donors? I bet its Wall Street and big pharma.

Yeah, I'd say the government is the problem. And the sky is blue and water is wet and snow is cold and fire is hot.
Call me Captain Obvious.
Good post "Captain Obvious"

The politicians are bought and paid for by special interest groups. They only pretend to be for the working man/woman/person, or whatever is the correct PC term now

Exactly. Government is us, by the people.

Those who say government is bad is just repeating propaganda coming from the extreme rich. With barely any functioning government who wins? The extreme rich. I doubt there are many extreme rich people on CD.

What? You are saying that we would be better off if the Government was bigger and we were more dependent on it for everything?

We already have a welfare class in this country and that is not a positive aspect of our society yet the Dems want to add even more to the dole.

Government is the problem and from what I have been hearing from the current crop of Democrat White House hopefuls all they want to do is give away Free stuff and tax the rich into oblivion to pay for it.

Trump is challenging people to stand up for themselves and to get a job and get off welfare whereas the Dems big message is to sit back down and we will handle it (life) for you.
