According to the Sunday Times, she thinks our universities are too “male, pale and stale”. And when she learned that British university professors are overwhelmingly white and male, Meghan was apparently moved to gasp: “Oh my God”.
Perhaps the Duchess ought to have another glance at her husband Prince Harry – aka the Duke of Sussex. If she looks very carefully, she may notice that he too is overwhelmingly white and male. With luck, she’ll be so appalled by this shock discovery that she’ll up sticks and move back to Hollywood, where she belongs.
Yep, she never said pale male stale.
What she said was:
“Just open up that conversation so we are talking about it as opposed to continuing with that daily rote . . .
sometimes that approach can be really antiquated and needs an update.”
I don’t know what got into me to click on. Breitbarf link.
Meghan Markle is currently finding out something about how the US and UK differ. In the UK, public figures get the crazy tabloid treatment as part and parcel of their existence, and race/gender/sexual identity/etc do not matter to the UK press.
Her ethnicity, gender and backstory give her no special preference in the UK. Se married into the Royal family, and now she gets to be hammered daily just because they feel like it.
Breitbart does few original stories. You can always find the original by just googling some of the phrases from the source cited.
The Sunday Times in the UK wrote the story.
She isnt going to stray too far from Hollywood standards. Her handlers must be having a fun time.
