That is as scary as hearing ANTIFA make threats. I am reading the piece and thinking to myself this has to be an Onion article. Even way back when in the heyday of the KKK I doubt articles like this were ever printed. Abhorrent doesn't even begin to describe my feelings about this.
I bet Trump is getting a good belly laugh out of this. More chaos, more division, drive the wedge, incite the hate... don't kid yourself, this is the twisted soul of his neo-fascist movement speaking here.
At least you have to give Sutton credit for laying it out there for all to see. Plenty of Trump followers that agree with him wholeheartedly, but aren't quite ready to join him on the battle lines - yet.
The editor and publisher of a local paper in Alabama, the Democrat-Reporter, penned an editorial last week calling for mass lynchings of Democrats by the Ku Klux Klan.
And so there can be no mistaking his intent, when asked what he meant by nightriding, Goodloe Sutton confirmed that, yes, he meant lynching. The way he rationalizes it is: "It's not calling for the lynchings of Americans. These are socialist-communists we're talking about."
Saw that- I must admit that is somewhat of a unique and "nostalgic" look at the world.
It is a little surprising that he not only made the comment, but then "doubled down" on the original statement. He does concede that the KKK killed "a few" in the past (no big deal among friends).
Perhaps he will end up in a "Twilight Zone" episode in which he is a black guy pursued by KKK members on horseback seeking to lynch him. Vic Morrow played that role in the movie (he actually died in the shooting of the movie).

But haven't you heard? Judge Thomas is calling for new libel laws (odd--Donny's favorite subject). Trump is the only one who has been harping on that issue.
He wants to make it easier to sue publications for libel--so we'll be able to sue for libel such as this.
This particular sentiment is pretty disgusting--friend of Roy Moore's?
I sincerely hope they are held responsible for anything that motivates whackos to take their advice.
The Democratic party hasn't been the home of the KKK for many decades now. Nope, all those "very fine people" under those hoods are, and always have been, right wing conservatives, no matter which party they called home many decades ago.
Was it not Obama that stood on the podium with the Black Panther Party when he was campaigning. No complaints there, Lefty?
I'm just wondering why the editor of a paper calling itself the Democrat-Reporter would think that the paramilitary wing of the Democrat Party would be interested in chasing down and lynching Democrats.
Seems kinda self-defeating when you think about it.
As a member of a democracy, we could all be called democrats.
The name itself probably comes from an older newspaper that was combined with another local paper, The Reporter, ages ago, before any of us were born.
That's what gives us newspapers with names like The News-Gazette, the Herald-Courier, and many others. The names have nothing at all to do with current politics or party affiliations.
