Good for him.

The thing is, these days many 'parents' seem to care little about their children being vicious bullies towards other kids and even towards teachers. It's a nation full of little narcissists who wreak havoc on society.

So it's refreshing to read of people actually backing up their kid's that are being bullied at school. This girl was regularly being bullied by this punk kid, so he got what he deserved. Sometimes it takes more than empty threats to make these punks understand.

A Texas man was recently arrested for slapping a 12-year-old boy in the face. He claims the boy was was bullying his young stepdaughter, according to police.

James Peace, 37, of La Porte, Texas, had just picked up his stepdaughter from school when he saw the boy walking home with a friend in Harris County last Thursday afternoon. Peace told investigators that his stepdaughter has depression and that the boy's teasing caused her "serious psychological harm," an officer with the Deer Park Police Department stated in the probable cause affidavit.

Can’t touch another kid. ! This is two wrongs does not make it right! I taught my kid to hit the bully - to defend himself.

Peace pulled over, got out of the car and began shouting at the boy for picking on his stepdaughter. He then struck the boy with an open palm on the side of his face before getting back into his car and driving away, according to the affidavit.
Nope, that's not how you handle it. You don't counter bullying by being a bully. He's a grown adult, that's a child. It's not his child.

He should have taken it up with the boy's parents.

That's probably something the victim or the bully's parents should have done, not some grown man who is a stranger to them.

I don't condone an adult hitting a kid under any circumstances. If he had gotten in a fight with the kids dad I'd be OK with it.

I think he should teach his kid how to handle a bully. This said, I have no use for bullies, but the bully is 12 years old, he is an adult. He shouldn't have touched a kid. He should've talked to the kid's parents instead.

A 37 year old adult cannot go around hitting 12 year olds. Not sure what is so hard to understand about this.

I thought this was gonna be about him breaking up a fight.

Yeah you can’t just slap a kid walking down the street because he bullied your daughter earlier. He could have given him a stern talking to. Physical escalation is a no no.
