This doesn’t follow. The fact that there will remain a tiny market for pervs does not justify not legalizing it for the others. The reasons for keeping it illegal are:
Feminism (left); and
Religion (mostly right, but even some left).
Something like 80% of prostitution is trafficking, as was stated these people don't want middle aged prostitutes. Even if legalized the demand will not suddenly disappear and will remain a large problem, its not about religion or feminism its about gangsters and wealthy people using children for their enjoyment.
Excellent investigative reporting by the reporter from the Miami Herald on the secret plea deal arranged by Acosta for Epstein accused of raping underaged girls. Julie K. Brown did a great job in exposing this, another reason why newspapers are so important.
The Pats were always an ethically and morally bankrupt organization, at least since Bellichick took over. You remember they had picked up Tim Tebow and wouldn't play him since his high moral reputation ran counter to the rest of the teams mindset.
An even bigger name. hmmm. Could be Trump, both Hillarys. If it was a gay prostitute then any number of Patriots players could be possible, even Obama.
The 3rd name was John Havens, Citigroup Inc.’s former president and chief operating officer
Three billionaires, using shady strip mall massage parlors. Police said the conditions in the one Kraft was at were quite bad. They also said he was a regular there. Obviously this isn't about run of the mill prostitution as all three could have easily procured professional escorts. They chose to use this type of place for their own reasons, and a billionaire can get what he wants.
What difference would it make if prostitution were legal, if this sleazy stuff is in demand enough that people with such means choose it.
Pornography is legal yet there is a market for child porn.

That may be the case seeing the police had a months worth of surveillance on this establishment and didn't pull the plug until now. Are you telling me that a well known name using their services was the catalyst that made them realize that something was illegal here???
How is a customer supposed to know the age or legal status of an employee who is tending to them? Yeah they were receiving "illegal" services but maybe he found it easier than trying to meet, dine, and engage someone at a bar and hope it goes his way. Considering the location that this occurred I'm sure if they started checking for legal citizenship among those in service roles they could fill a couple of INS busses.

As I argued, legalizing prostitution may cut down on the problem and that is not a bad thing but it isn't going to end it.
No it wouldn't. We are NEVER going to legalize the underage portion of the business nor should we and there will still be a segment that works to undermine the costs and protections of legal prostitution. Legalize it, I don't care, I'm not arguing against that.
Yes it would. I get so tired of people like you with an archaic thought process that want to push things like this behind the curtain. Just stop already. The best thing that can be done is to put all of this out in the open and actually get in front of this.

Ah cut the guy some slack. I'm pretty sure his wife died of cancer a few years back.
This is the first thing I thought of, too. If an old widower billionaire can’t get laid once in awhile, there’s nothing wrong with buying it. Apparently, he just needs a more discreet hooker.
No ones rights are being violated and 2 people entered into a consensual contract. The only thing that is somewhat shocking is a man who will be 78 in June and can still get it up.
Good for you Bob Kraft, good for you.
Actually, we've been led to believe on this forum that all a guy needs to get lots of women and free sex is money.
So why's he paying for it?

Is it really that scandalous.
The police in London were always raiding brothels and sex parties, indeed when they raided one of Cynthia Payne' home in 1978 they found 53 men at her residence, in varying levels of undress, which included "a peer of the realm, an MP, a number of solicitors, company directors and several vicars. Over the years everyone from High Court Judges to Senior Police Officers were seen running down streets to evade capture.
MP's in Britain have been the subject of numerous sex scandals over the years, quite often having been discovered at places such Hampstead Heath or Wimbledon Common where they were engaging in what is always referred to by the media as lewd acts.
Janie Jones was another famous London madam, and their were numerous others, in terms of Janie Jones, she was the subject of a song by 'The Clash'.
At least Bob Kraft was at a massage parlour, and lets face it there are lots of dodgy massage parlours knocking around, where you can get a happy ending as part of the service.
