There is one person who is responsible for him still being employed. And that is Trump. Period. Yes the House and Senate could remove him (Acosta) via impeachment, but thats not going to happen. Its expected in rational times that the president will deal with this, as Acosta serves at his pleasure.
He was confirmed by the Congress even though this was discussed during his hearing. He never should have been confirmed.

I pretty much stay out of the fray on that front because no matter who is in the White House - we're screwed.
Trump and Epstein have been good friends for many years. Trump rewarded the prosecutor in the Epstein case who arranged the sweetheart deal for Epstein (Alex Acosta) with a cabinet level job (secretary of labor). Trump is up to his keister in this case of child sex trafficking.
