The Jury did the right thing and told him to stuff it, but the judge had made so many biased comments during the trial that a mistrial was declared.
The Texas Judicial Commission issued a warning, but stopped short of a suspension or even a sanction. He essentially entered a plea of temporary insanity, and apparently god told the Judicial Commission that was good enough for him.
So much so that the conservative chief justice felt it was right to defend them, and their rulings. Please keep your religion off the bench!!
It's going to get much worse.
