With Trump and Reagan enacting these policies, what is your take on the end products?

Of course it works: but on the lower rungs of the economic ladder (where all real growth originates), socialism and class envy/warfare are a much easier sell to the point-and-grunt element -- many of whom are too thick to discern the difference between a million and a trillion (a million millions).

Economic ignorance is the only sustaining force for the Leftists and their captive clientele.

Yep. Sad thing is that the vote from someone with a 70 IQ that has survived on welfare all their lives counts the same as a person with a 140 IQ that has started multiple businesses and employees hundreds or thousands.

Tinkle down economics has never worked.

And why would we expect it to work? What a joke it was and still is.

Reaganomics was a disaster for this country.

Um no. It’s foolishness to think otherwise.

And otherwise, how do you propose to better yourself? Lawsuits and lottery tickets, perhaps?

The unfortunate fact is, (with the exception of nepotism), no matter how much education you have in your "tool kit", you have to start at the bottom of the pyramid, and most of those in authority over you are more concerned with getting the thankless, tedious time-consuming work done than with your personal advancement.

it's a long way to the top, and the majority of us will "top out" far short of where we'd hoped; the only advice I can offer is to seek personal goals not so closely linked to success at the daily grind.

With the exception of "crony capitalism" -- nobody "gives money to the rich"; they earn it by providing goods and services (however tacky) that someone actually wants to buy.

And when the most successful pass from the scene, the wealth created survives -- usually as part of the non-profit / philanthropic sector sill generating benefits and paychecks.

The only real threat here is the saber-rattling from the "usual suspects" over in Looney-Left Field, which can cause the value of those assets to evaporate (tank) via envy (and fear) alone.

No, never gonna happen. They're more likely to say "my portfolio increased 16% last quarter"
This point is moot; the wealth created goes into the financial markets, sustaining benefits for all -- as cited above.

Too many small entrepreneurs have learned (usually the hard way) that most of those trapped on the lower rungs of the economic pyramid cannot share their vision and foresight.

Not even answering poll question, because neither Trump nor Reagan ever espoused "trickle down" anything, EVER.

Please follow the link, for more on this hated strawman: Link to my repeated post about the myth of "trickle down economics"

I've never purchased a lottery ticket nor been a part of a lawsuit.

I do pretty well for myself, though - thanks for the "concern".

No. Give money to the rich and they save it or send it offshore to avoid taxes. They remove it from circulation. Why? Because all their needs are met and they don't NEED anything.

Give money to the poor and they spend every penny because they do need things. Wages are so low that renters spend more than 50% of their income just to have roof over their heads. They do without a lot of things they need.
