The media has enjoyed a free pass for a long time on shoddy Journalism. The first amendment provides for free speech, but doesn't provide for slander or liable.
The media should have done a little research and investigated the story before reporting it.

As it turned out virtually their entire piece was trash. They deserve to answer for that.

For example: Someone shows me a short and edited video of you looking in my car window. Another snippet shows you running away. My story is odanny seen breaking into a car and fleeing the scene. odanny is known for eccentric and questionable behavior and infant is a well known anti car activist.
The reality is you saw someone break the window and walked over to see what happened. You then saw the man attempting to break into another car and you do the honorable thing and chase him away. In reality you are not an activist but an advocate for alternative fuel cars.
LOL I know that you were being sarcastic, because many on the right, myself included question the over use of lawsuits in this country. In my mind this is a valid lawsuit. The press needs to answer for their misdeeds.
This is the main reason I am behind this kids lawsuits. The press in this country has turned into a despicable industry that makes the "yellow journalism" of the past look respectful. I cannot understand networks like MSNBC and CNN who despise "capitalists" using the worst morals there are to make the almighty dollar and force their agenda at any cost. For me using a 15 year old kid is the last straw...……...

He even had a meme with the wood chipper and blood coming out. He needs to be sued for sure.

No, they didn't. That's one of the dumbest lies told on this site. I've heard it twice in the last week now, all of a sudden.

Thankfully those boys had the full videos to prove they did nothing wrong, if not their whole lives would have been ruined. Evil for sure.
This is true. Example. Black victim +iPhone +Twitter or Facebook = you are a getting fired from your job.

The kid did receive these death threats, but from what Ive read, there was no point where he was literally in danger, no one ever touched him physically, came to his residence with the intent to harm, etc, it was all 'keyboard-online type threats'.

I think courts do take that into consideration, talk is talk, threats are threats, but no one actually took action to do him or his family real harm. It would be a whole lot different if someone had come to his house looking to start trouble with him, or approached him somewhere else physically. verbal threats to people in the news happen all the time, just look at all the hatred for certain presidents, and politicians, many people are good at threatening from a keyboard, but not so much a real life threat.
