I'm with JerseyGirl. There are numerous threads where you'll see said poster holding onto some whack notion as though it's of relevance or value, and arguing with everyone as though it makes sense. It doesn't. It never will. Some folks just have nothing better to do and like banging their dull heads against the wall.

People of privilege, yes. But if this was bipartisan, it would have snared parents in both blue and red states. It didn't. It snared blue state parents on both coasts.

And you don't know how LL votes. Pro-life anti-abortion Catholics vote Dem, so it's entirely possible that LL does, as well.

I'd agree there.

The college admissions system is broken and has been for a very long time (perhaps to its very beginning).

I was going to post that article. People of all political persuasions are willing to grease palms. But remember this is 50 people so don’t jump to the conclusion the most are willing.

It seems a few people may be failing to see the forest through the trees here....

The states in which this scam was used are not that important. Republicans and Democrats exist in each state. Rich families exist across the political spectrum. Got it.

Two points in which politics enter:

1) 'Elite' academic institutions that carry status/branding clout. Most schools are excessively pushing the socialist/liberal, Obama/Soros agenda these days. Intolerance to any political views except those that support the extreme left. Conservatives are silenced. Any other views are stiffled.

2) Media reporting. Bias in reporting. Conveniently ignoring certain people while singling out others. Media Matters (George Soros) suppresses things that are unflattering to the liberal agenda.

As I observed earlier, notice how apparently no parent tried to pay to get their child into CalTech or MIT. Some things cannot be bought with money or power.
