Please sweep once you're quite done beating that strawman, mmkay? It's a fire hazard.

Some people are really screwed up magnetically and they need to be executed. However, the government sucks at that too so letting them rot in prison until they go insane is a fair alternative

If a man brutally murders your family, do you want to give him a humane lethal injection or do you want him to rot in prison for the rest of his life?

The answer is pretty simple. Inmates literally hang themselves every year to escape their prison sentence, because death is easier than serving a life sentence with no parole.

I agree...the death penalty is just "revenge" justice. It's not a deterrent and people who commit heinous crimes don't even think about it in the first place.
What good is life without freedom? That would be a deterrent for most sane people would it not?

We now know that the Governor is a liar. When running for office, he stated that he would accept that the voters of CA. wanted to keep the death penalty.

We need a culture of life, which includes an end to executions and an end to abortion.

I find it strange that so many ‘conservatives’ are pro-death penalty. In every other arena they spout that government is incompetent. But they trust the government to get death sentences right even though people have been proven innocent after getting a death sentence. How many innocents have actually been put to death?

Unless you plan to support the babies of America’s underclass, abortion is justified.

The way I see it is doesn't it cost more to put somebody to death because of appeals? So if that's true you're not saving $. And we've seen plenty of people on death row later to be proven innocent. So it's not 100% accurate.

I've long supported our safety nets. Public assistance. I support enhanced child care. Better access to higher education. Universal health care.

Have I missed anything?
