Because he can't stand the idea of criticism or the threat of being disciplined. He's stupid that way (among others). He lies when it makes no sense to lie. He obstructs when there is no reason to do so. Meanwhile, his cronies and pals have turned against him. Other shoes will drop.

That is their prerogative. They should be careful in how they do it though after this two year investigation that yielded nothing on Americans with regard to Russia. Americans watching are very tired of all of it and will not appreciate endless hearings that are politically motivated.
