No, they didn't like the shade of beige he painted his house.
I am waiting for a guy to paint a MAGA hat on his house just to start a fight with the "Liberal, Left, Socialist, Communist, Fascist, Stalinist, Leninist, Hugo Chavez, Castro derived) HOA. Tick Tick Tick......
I look at them more like insurance. You buy in and agree to follow the rules to insure against the neighborhood turning into something it wasn't when you bought.
True but the BOD of the HOA can make all the difference.
Who cares, no one is forcing you or anyone else to go move in one. I get tired of some sap story about how some blind person is being fined because they have to put a fresh coat of paint on their house. You knew what the rules were when moving in, so shut up and pay your fines, or sell your house and move out.
I voted both. but honestly don't care. just know that they are 100% wrong and im pretty sure they are evil.
If I ever find myself living in an HOA area. I have a plan.
I will engratiate myself to the HOA board. I will secretively find some like minded people, we will run to take over the board and once we have control, we will disband the stupid thing.
this is the action that every single America loving American should do.

What? Are you going to slip up and accidentally buy a house? As in, "Well, I was walking along and minding my own business when suddenly I found myself signing a bunch of mortgage applications!"
I see this "do not like it, do not buy" argument all the time. However, that argument would have merit if not for the fact in many places, the government has mandated that only HOA developments can be built, so it is not the market, consumer, or anything driving the supply, it is the government. Many places the inventory of non-HOA homes is pretty low compared to HOA, due to the government mandate.
For those who live in good HOAs, it is great, but for those who do not, it can be a nightmare, plenty of stories online about not only the homeowner(s), but the entire neighborhood getting screwed.

Thanks.
Exactly the sort of response this thread deserves.
