Wars over opium were happening LONG before the big debate on marijuana!! There is SO much money to be made from opium/opioids/heroin, there is a reason why its more expensive than gold!

I hope you realize the crackdown on opioid prescription drugs was just a way to benefit the cartels, prescription painkillers were too much competition to their drugs (heroin), once govt got rid of the competition, we now have heroin epidemics instead of painkiller epidemics. This is common sense really...whats safer...taking street drug like heroin or taking prescription drugs obtained thru a doctor and pharmacy?
