See how fast and easy that was? Only in America do we have dumbed down scaredy cats that need their military style killing machines to go duck hunting.
Semi-automatic shotguns are used for duck hunting.
Meanwhile in the US... AR-15 rifles were used to commit every major mass shooting in the United States since the 2012 attack in an Aurora, Colorado movie theater and we do nothing.
New Zealand won't miss what they never had. A Constitution that secures individual rights.
You ban happy types don't really care about stopping criminal misuse of firearms. If you did you would take the time to actually study the issue and stop relying on childish, insulting and degrading commentary that does NOTHING to actually address the issue.
You would also know that there are current laws that LE does not enforce to the point of blatant negligence.
What these leftists don't seem to understand; if there ever were such a sweeping control of firearms here in the US, the government wouldn't be benevolent.
Once the populace is helpless, there would be further crack-downs on other freedoms.
AR-15 has not been used in every mass shooting since 2012, ridculous.
But hey, as I said in another thread, a foreigner rolls into NZ, kills a bunch of people, yet the government's response is to ban its citizens from owning. Makes sense.
Here's a partial list, which is certainly bad enough. I know Umpqua is missing, and probably a few others I can't recall right now.
Some people take action. Some people learn from crises. Some people want to protect their citizens. Some people don't let corporate interests dominate every policy.
Not us, though.
We suggest you move to a place where guns are banned. That would save you the step of hassling the rest of us!
There was no ban in the 90's, despite the name, the assault weapon ban did not restrict the ownership, buying, and selling of semi-auto rifles.
When Generation Z is fully franchised to vote during the next couple of years, you will see changes here very similar to those taking place in New Zealand. They aren't real wild about protecting the tools of choice for mass shooters, and they are damned tired of being told their only choice is to arm themselves and live in fear.
Only the importing and new sales, everything that was in the US was allowed, even with the features, and could be bought and sold.
New Zealand's law addresses that as well as component conversion parts. and the PM has already said anyone who keeps any of the hardware after the ban will incriminate himself.

I think it`s more about a Nobody wanting to feel like a Somebody. An assault weapon can do that for a person.
