Republicans have pushed their party so far to the right that social security, medicare and medicaid are considered communistic. They have lost all sense of bearing and rationality. Unless of course you prefer as they do to live in the dark ages when waifs roamed cities, feudal lords ruled over your towns and you burned witches,..otherwise called Trumper paradise.

You know this is the same feeling Democrats had in 2010 when the Tea Party came to prominence.

So I understand that Republicans may be nervous but its not unique to today's situation. You just have to deal with it as the Democrats had to since 2010.

I think you make some valid points, OP. I applaud your honesty of sentiment, and frankly, bravery, in posting it here. I hope instead of being attacked and belittled, people responding can provide clarification and information, because I know you are far from alone in expressing those sentiments.

I will add that it’s concerning how dirty politics has become, and how the increasing lack of ethics displayed by both sides can permeate and eventually destroy this country.

Than You have the progressives. These types want Medicaid for all, free education, wants to end all the wars. These types are very populist.

Than you have the far left democrats. These types are not communist, because real communist will murder and rape these types of people in an heartbeat. Anyhow these types of people of the far-left democrats is what I can intersectionals, which come from the theory of Intersectionality by NYU Kimberlee Crenshaw. Intersectionals in the democrat party mainly consists of SJW/Feminist types/ and lesser extent conscious woke blacks. Problem with this intersectional wing of the democrats is that people advocating and fighting for change overlap with their wants and needs. Example conscious woke pro blacks are anti immigrant and anti open borders while SJWS who advocate for black Americans want open borders. Than you have Feminists who don't want transgenders in women spaces, but SJWS want transgenderes in women spaces. However all three factions are anti white male, and believe they are the victims of the straight white Cristian male. The intersectional democrats are not large, but they appear to be large due to their precense on Social Media, and by Mainstream Media giving intersectional democrats airtime on TV and online.

Should we take intersectional democrats seriously even though they are small in numbers? Of course. Their rhetoric is toxic, and will scare away plenty of people to other factions of the democrat party, or even to the Republican party or out of the political system all together

We should take all radical extremists seriously — Left or Right — regardless of their numbers. Especially in this day and age of social media, where they can more effectively reach and manipulate young, impressionable minds with their ideologies, and whip up that most powerful emotion of all — Hate.

History has shown that radical extremists need not be anywhere close to large in numbers to enact destructive policies that sow horrible consequences for all in their society.

The Democratic Party is controlled by big business interests, just like the Republican Party is.

The whole notion that the Democrats are “far left†is laughable. Do you really think that wealthy corporate donors are going to support a far-left agenda?

Trump loves the uneducated, ergo “the simple people”.

Demagogues love simple minded people that they can exploit through fear and hate. No current politician comes close to matching Donald Trump when it comes to exploiting hate and fear.

The dems have gone so far left that anyone remotely left of centrist or moderate is now to the far right. But they may have solidified the crazy addle minded vote but they have to be worrying even those who don't like Trump but have a handle on reality.

Completely false. Most conservatives, myself included, support social security, medicare and Medicaid. It is simply a liberal falsehood that is propagated among leftists that conservatives want these programs ended.

To show how far the left has drifted further left, consider this:

1. John Kennedy would be considered a right wing extremist today

2. Homosexuality is now accepted as normal and mainstream

3. There is no longer an "X" rating for movies- everything goes

4. porn is available on demand on the internet

5. pot is legal in several states

6. gay marriage is legal

7. We have had a socialist/communist as a dem front runner for POTUS for two elections in a row

8. Organizations such as NAMBLA exist without its members being imprisoned

9. Christianity is under attack by the left

10. Christmas is no longer allowed to be celebrated in public schools

11. The pledge of Allegiance is no longer said in public schools

12. The mentally ill have been "mainstreamed"

13. More babies are born under Medicaid than not

14. The number of single parent families is at record highs

15. Classic books popular for several generations have been banned from schools

16. The Ten Commandments have been removed from public places

17. The American flag is considered "offensive" by many

18. Political correctness rules the Universities

19. There are very few, if any conservative professors in universities

20. There are very few, if any, conservatives in Hollywood

21. All the network television news is liberal, except for one

22. Conservative newspapers are almost non-existent

23. There are self-proclaimed socialists in Congress

Most of those issues seems to revolve around Religious views toward those topics. I would argue that policies built on religious will always fail because religious beliefs and practices change over 100's of years.

In addition, the USA was built on religious freedom therefore attempting to mold this society based on the most popular religion at the time of forming a society is doomed to fail because there will be strife between differing religions since there is no official STATE religion in the USA.

Your moral compass should guide you and you alone for I have the freedom per the constitution to be free of your non-secular beliefs. This is how the constitution is written and it was purposeful. Hence why our criminal enforcement is based on law separate from non-secular beliefs. And honestly who the heck lives by all those rules in the bible? At best we pick and choose which ones we are ok with, I have yet to see a stoning yet I see cause for them all the time per the Bible. Capitalism is not even compatible with Jesus's teachings.

I was raised Southern Baptist and outside of basic morals I have yet to find a usefulness to applying the bible to modern life. I really have to stretch those meanings to fit how we practice Christianity in the USA.
