Bernie Sanders just proved how dumb he is, once again. New Zealand has a population of abut 5 million and the United States about 326 million. Bernie Sanders talks loud but says nothing.

I used to vote pretty straight D, and would like to consider it again. I do think we need some kind of healthcare overhaul, and Republicans have forgotten what fiscal conservative actually means, not to mention the idiotic wars and military conflicts they love. BUT... until the D's get off this bandwagon, they won't have my vote, and I won't write in my vote like I did last time. Assuming he's still around and running, I'll be voting for Trump. He's far from my first choice, but no Dem other than Joe Manchin (at least with any name recognition) is trustworthy when it comes to protecting the 2nd Amendment.
Yes, we all know what they want. They will say what their people want to hear to get elected, but do whatever they want behind closed doors. I love the editorials by people like Rahm Emmanuel telling candidates to cool it with the socialist rhetoric because American voters don’t like it, but essentially saying you can’t just outright say what you want. You’ve got to fool the electorate and do things incrementally or behind closed doors once in office. Wasn’t it David Axelrod who shamelessly wrote how the Obama campaign lied to black southern democrats about their position on gay marriage because they knew they would otherwise never get their votes? And Hillary Clinton said you have to have public position and a private policy. They’re pretty shameless about it.

And don’t think I believe this is limited to Democratic politicians. I know Republicans do it too, but not to the same level because the Republicans have always had a watchdog media. Republicans’ problems generally is that they say they will do something and then never do it because they fear media backlash.

Public opinion and private policy. Yes indeed. Harry Reid was infamous for that here in NV. When Clinton introduced the Omnibus Crime Bill Nevadans massively opposed it but Reid voted for it anyway citing "The constituency doesn't matter. He had to vote his conscience." These reps, especially Dems seem to think their positions give them singular power. And it's out of control and has been. Senators and congressmen are becoming satraps answering to the central Democratic authority. It's gotten to be quite frightening.

Crazy Bernie's support is waning even among those who once supported him.
