Leftists have long alleged that Donald Trump has conducted crimes with the mafia, as well as with Russian oligarchs. What they can never explain is why Trump has never been indicted.

In this FBI memorandum dated 22 September, 1981 an FBI agent records his meetings with Trump and a 'source' (in my view, almost certainly Roy Cohn) to discuss Trump's plan to open casinos in Atlantic City. Trump notes his concern about organized crime and offers to become a confidential informant should he proceed with the project. He even proposed having undercover agents in his casino. [There is a link to the FBI Memorandum]

A surprising cast of characters and their relationships. If you scoff at this information, you have to admit there are a helluva lot of coincidences. Beyond statistical probability?

Article is a wonderful example of the citizen journalists out there doing real work, not just worrying about how their hair looks on camera.

[Lot of typos which I find annoying]

Nothing would surprise me. A lot of people are not aware that Al Sharpton was once an FBI informant. FBI has no shortage of tentacles.

If he was, I'd think even less of the FBI than I do now.

So no one bothered to read the article or the FBI memo because it wasn't in the Media Matters script for the week? Not allowed to post anything positive about Trump or you won't get paid. By the way, how is David Brock? Wasn't he dying of cancer? Dead yet?

Its farfetched to hint that Trump has "conducted crimes" with the mafia..if anything they might have a business relationship (they shake down legitimate business owners in their various protection rackets, and they run a bunch of dirty businesses that operate various swindles or cartel-type activities in sanitation or what not).

So Trump might have been paying the mob off, part of some shakedown racket, or negotiating with them to consolidate the various rackets and extortion he was subjected to through his real estate property interests.

That doesn't make it a crime. If paying protection money to the mob were a crime then half the city would be at Rikers.
