We need to be aware of ALL the alternative energy solutions, especially those that Govt has suppressed over the years. Why not declassify them all and let the free market have at it and see what they can come up with? What good does it do anyone to keep it locked up and restricted?!

If you started to read it that might double its readership.

The free market is exactly why we have not had alternative energy sources as of yet.

There is nothing yet that can come close to competing with the portability, efficiency, and low cost of fossil fuels.

Thankfully under Trump that kind of nonsense is finished. The numbers speak for themselves.

Leftists of course are left with "Orange Man Bad" spun to them by the MSM over the matter like that of the OP.
And your problem is that you want instant gratification. Basically, if the tech isn't there right now, it will never happen, so forget about it. People like you have existed throughout history, and were proven wrong countless times. There were people who thought nuclear power was just some crackpot idea....

Sometimes governments which can provide stable funding are needed to get research and development of bleeding edge tech moving, as private investment isn't always reliable. Many private investors don't have realistic expectations and/or are not flexible when setbacks occur.

Here in Pa. the coal industry has given us 3,000 miles of dead streams. I`ll take the wind any day but it`s heartening to see a conservative care about wildlife.

LOL.

Tell that to the people who's lights go out. There's your instant gratification. Power companies absolutely have to provide for base load energy requirements. With the current state of technology, there is no practical way to do it beyond burning fossil fuels and nuclear. Nothing else comes even close.
