That's a great month Cali....they still have a higher unemployment rate than 36 states:

Keep it up Cali and one day you might be as good as Texas.

CA has an unemployment rate of 4.4% which is higher than the national and Texas average of 3.8%.

In the last 12 months CA created 222,500 jobs, Texas created 268,800 jobs, Florida 211,900.
Georgia created 97,100 jobs where New York created 95,400 jobs.

Soooo...... Looks like Texas leads CA in job creation and Florida is a close 3rd.

Seems like a lot of population and jobs continue to leave the north and head place warm like Georgia.

That is not the subject being discussed in this thread. The subject is, how can a State that has so many illegals be as profitable as they are. The common misconception ( or outright lie, if you wish) is that all illegals come here, get on welfare, and sit back and mooch off of you and me. That is pure BS.

The vast majority of them have a better work ethic that the average home born American worker. We want cushy jobs in the air conditioning, and they are willing to take any job, regardless of the conditions. As I mentioned, I worked at companies in California where a large percentage of the employees had "questionable" paperwork. They were hard working, reliable, honest, and no trouble at all. They were also consumers, who bought food, lodging, gas, and other products, which went right into the economy.

I know the wall huggers love to paint them all as rapists, murders, and drug dealers, but that is not the case at all. The majority are so decent that they even send money home to relatives they left behind to take care of those poor people.

Wall lovers know walls keep out unwanted elements. The gate is opened for welcome guests.

The fact that most of the illegals might be hard working and decent doesn't change the fact they have walked into our midst while breaking our laws. Let's build the wall and block out the rapists, drug dealers and murderers and let in the hard working decent folk through our open door after vetting.

No. Shutdown the border. Let convicts earn their meals by working in the fields.

People seem to forget that GDP covers all. Here it is. Praise MA and NY.

CA is dang close - especially considering the size.

I love how people trot out numbers as if they mean anything.....when the overall number is actually the best indicator.

Those low wage jobs in TX - in and out burger, etc. - aren't raising all boats.

Of course, we could talk about where the rubber meets the road - like the percentage of people not covered by health care. TX leads in those categories for large states.

Have you developed a new vetting system that we can perhaps apply to the Catholic Church, pols and other assorted deviants?

This would be an amazing thing. Will people be "vetted" by the system put in place by those 25 people in the WH who didn't pass muster for high security clearances...but got them anyway???

Will David Epstein be on the "rape" advisory committee?

Funny thing, we have still have the same problem years later. The same people on opposite sides just seem to want to fight each other rather than working together regardless of party.

Seems to me like we need to flush all of Congress, and all of the Senate right out the door.

"trot out numbers as if they mean anything" LOL

One person makes $400,000 a year but spends $430,000 a year. He is insolvent.

Another makes $50,000 a year but, spent a total of $35,000.

Who is better off?

Overall number means absolutely nothing without context.
