I voted in our local election. Not only did a sign point out to me that I didn't need an ID, it said if anyone asks me for one, I should call the phone number given. Discuss.

Sorry, I don't hold anecdotal evidence in high regard.

I don't see a serious problem as long as poll workers are keeping record of who on the registered voter list has voted.

I voted in a local neighborhood election for representatives to deal with city officials who don't do their jobs, i.e. fixing sidewalks, trimming trees, noise abatement. People had to bring photo IDs AND documentation (property tax bills, renters agreements) before being allowed to vote.

Yet I was able to vote for state and federal candidates in this sanctuary state without any ID. What's wrong with this picture?

Call the number, ask what they think.

Depends how often the voter rolls are culled of dead people and non residents. In CA a million and a half people were ineligible.

Dems are afraid they won't win if voter IDs are required.

Crazy that we don't have to prove we are who we say we are. hmm... I wonder if I could walk into a bank and claim that I am someone I know who has money.

Uh-huh. So when you come in to vote, and find that an illegal alien who got there an hour earlier voted with your name (he didn't need an ID), you don't see a serious problem.

At least they stopped YOU from voting.

I’ve been voting for 35 years and every single time I have been asked to see my ID/drivers license...it’s never ever been a problem. They look at my name and check the list and I go vote.
