Carbon dioxide – the gas scientists say is most responsible for global warming – has reached levels in our atmosphere not seen in 3 million years, scientists announced this week in a new study.

At that time, sea levels were as much as 65 feet higher than they are now, Greenland was mostly green and Antarctica had trees.

“It seems we’re now pushing our home planet beyond any climatic conditions experienced during the entire current geological period, the Quaternary,” said study lead author Matteo Willeit of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany. “A period that started almost 3 million years ago and saw human civilization beginning only 11,000 years ago. So, the modern climate change we see is big, really big; even by standards of Earth history.”

As I heard one person explain it, the Earth is like an Oven. You set an oven the temperature to 200 degrees it continues to warm until the desired temperature is reached. The earth is warming and when it reaches that new equilibrium temperature the piper will be paid.

Even now the consequences are just beginning to be felt and are harbingers of what is to come..

Unfortunately, we have deniers that are nothing more than dead weight keeping nations from taking needed action.

Then who was responsible for CO2 levels 3,000,001 years ago?

Opps, you can't ask that question.

Jellyfish have been on earth for somewhere between 500-700 million years.

Obviously they are responsible for both events.

Tax jellyfish!

No wonder. My 3.1 million year old SUV got terrible gas mileage. People just didn’t care about the environment back then.

The top men Leftist had all flew to Paris on gas guzzling private jets with their rock star friends, only to give the largest polluting country, China, a break on carbon emissions output until 2030, and the US tax payer, paying 3rd world countries who will become the next greatest contributors to global warming.

I don't know about the CO2 levels, but I did stay at a Holiday inn Express last night.

So invent a mode of transportation that runs on liberal tears and virtue signalling. Thus far, lefties only complain and advocate for wealth confiscation/redistribution. They do nothing to actually solve problems.
