I temporarily work with a lot of Muslims in a translation careerfield, these are good, normal, law abiding people living the America dream.

But holy hell are they blindly religious. They have their prayer mats in a section of the building and they do their prayers every few hours. This one lady has her Quran out and does studies in it.

I think their religion just really hinders their cultural progression as none of it makes sense. Same goes for Christianity.

Yeah sure, we're just like and Islamic Republic. Funny how we lead the world in Gay accepting churches(thousands), but don't have one mainstream gay friendly mosque? Well, there is one, but they lease out space in a church

Looks like the left has exhumed it's phony "war on women." Federal law already bans felons and those convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence from buying firearms. What the NRA has a problem with is that the house bill adds convictions for crimes that aren't felonies, and aren't domestic violence, that would still take away their second amendment rights. It also takes these rights away without due process.

There are a number of other reasons many Republicans like Arizona congresswoman Debbie Lesko voted against it, such as:

Quote:
This bill, under the weight of federal law, would force domestic violence shelters to take in biological males who identify as women. This could be in showers. This could be in beds. We have women that are placed in shelters that have already been abused, some of them sexually abused, but now the federal government is going to require these shelters to take in biological males and sometimes place them right next to these women?
Quote:
The Violence Against Women Act also requires that prisons take in biological males who identify as women in women prisons.
In the United Kingdom, there’s already been a case where a man who identified as a woman raped two women in prison.
Quote:
Please don’t be confused by the title of this bill, Violence Against Women Act.
This is nothing but a political strategy by the Democrat Party to put in things in this bill that aren’t bipartisan, that are totally partisan, knowing that Republicans will vote no so that the Democrats can say Republicans are against women.
I’m a survivor of domestic violence. I’m going to vote no against this domestic violence act because I don’t believe it will protect women and will actually hurt women more.

With nonconsensual consent, the wife gives her approval for the CDD relationship, but cannot revoke it afterwards. There are no safe words and no get-out-of-jail-free cards. Once you’ve agreed to let your husband punish you for your misdeeds, your consent is final. This is necessary not only when it comes to the mere act of punishment—I can guarantee you that the first time your husband spanks you, you’ll be crying and pleading for him to change his mind—but for your husband to maintain his position as the head of the household to begin with. In short, a CDD marriage will allow you to experience true submission: giving yourself to your husband wholly and without reservations.

Kinky!

I never heard of this "lifestyle" before, but couples do all sorts of crazy **** to get themselves off, so I'm surprised that it exists.

Since the wife agrees to punishment ahead of time, CDD is just a slightly tweaked version of BDSM.

Call the police anywhere in America and tell them that you agreed at one time to allow your husband to punish you, but now you've changed your mind.

The male counterpart will be arrested as soon as the police arrive and no one will shun the former punishment volunteer.

She won't have to appear before the local clergy to defend her failure to submit to her husband.

Nice try, but you failed to sell this "lifestyle" as mainstream Christianity.

And I also have Baptist friend from a really rural church told me once it's ok to beat up your wife if she displays disobedience. Some of the pastor's in these rural church in FL do preach this crap.
And they would be wrong. Very wrong.

Christianity doesn't condone beating one's spouse. Period.

They may think in similar ways but the numbers say Islamic fundamentalists have racked up a much higher body and atrocity count around the world over the last 20 or so years.

Who died and made you CD's decision maker?

Maybe CD isn't the place for you.

Try Democratic Underground. They run an extremely tight ideological ship over there.

Absolutely NO debate is allowed that run contrary to progressive beliefs.

Ditto. South Carolina has been at the top of the states with the most violence against women for years.

South Carolina ranked one of the deadliest states for women

We are also one of the most "christian" (read: pharisaical) states in the country, with piety that drips off our citizens like slime off a snail. All lip service, no action, unless there's a woman to be roughed up.
