Nobody pronounces the number "9" better than Herman Cain.
People take notice when Herman Cain speaks.
I wouldn't mind seeing Herman Cain on a ticket with Ivanka or DonJnr when they each run for President.

It should be independent of the executive branch. Not like it’s an effective branch.

You're a little premature. According to ABC News "Herman Cain expected to withdraw his name from consideration for the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors, amid growing pressure from Republican Senators on the White House to remove him from consideration..." So he hasn't withdrawn his name just yet but he knows he's dead in the water. Hell, even the Pubs know this guy is unqualified so they're saying "nein, nein, nein!" "Nein" is German for "no", by the way.

For many years, Fed has enjoyed an intentionally independent role from politics. They do not raise or lower rates at the bidding of the Dem or Repub in office; they are given a mandate to act based on long-term economic health. They do not get involved in short-term squabbles.

What Donald is doing is politicizing the Fed - same as he tries to politicize all other government agencies that should act with some autonomy (intelligence community, Justice Dept). The result will ultimately be a Fed stocked with Trumpian partisans who will throw out the red lines and do things like skew rates to engineer a result POTUS likes now - but may cost the economy in the long run.

Conservatives not smart or caring enough to recognize this is a problem..

Trump tries to corrupt everything he comes into contact with, and is usually successful. Even the Fed. Cain is out but the other idiot and party hack Stephen Moore will probably be confirmed.

Can you explain why you think he is an idiot?

Who? Moore? Maybe because he's been consistently wrong about every economic event over the past twenty years. If you research this guy using anything other than right wing sources you'll see this for yourself. And do you think that interest rates are currently too high?

I cant imagine if he gets re-elected, and there's 4 mores years of this guy what the gov will look like. It will have to be totally revamped to get rid of all his yes men, that will then have no purpose.

Kind of sad and pathetic when those on the left attack any black person that gets ahead or gets a promotion. Their racism and bigotry has no place in this country. Thing is, we do have that little first amendment that lets them spew their venom.
