I work with union members in my job and they are an absolute disaster. They insist on representing the LCD. They lie and distort the truth frequently. They hate management for no particular reason whatsoever. Its all about greed with them.

then fix the system vis a vie unions and corrupt lobbying. what point do you think you are making by conflating unions with something else that is corrupt?

In other words; as unions are destroyed, so is the middle class.

The ruling class of course knows this. Thats why they attack labor unions so viciously. They know that a lone ranger, a lone worker, doesnt stand a chance against a well equipped platoon.
If unions are so great why to they have to force people to join?

1960's in America: High union membership, full employment, good wages. Average Joe could afford to buy a modest house and a car.

2019 in America: Low union membership, full employment -- at low, stagnant wages. Average Joe can barely afford to rent an apartment and a bus pass.

You're the one who said unions are obsolete. Why is it obsolete for workers to organize but not for the business class? The ruling business class buy legislation that ensures the destruction of labor unions. Whats so great about that? In which society has there been a thriving middle class and destroyed labor unions?

spurious correlation. the real culprit is massive world (and US) overpopulation and a much more competitive world economy.

If people benefit from a union, its perfectly reasonable that they are required to pay for it. Whats so great about freeloading?

As labor unions decline, so does the middle class. The evidence is overwhelming that this is the case. Why support the destruction of the middle class? I dont get it.

Being forced to join a union and pay dues is kind of similar to having to pay protection to the Maria.

closed shop. If you are against being "forced" to join a union, simply get a job somewhere else...……..
Like all the corporate people say.. "if you don't like the pay or your job...… your free to work somewhere else.
