By BEING A CAPITALIST, of all things as he constantly derides capitalism.

He says it is by book sales.

What is more capitalist then that?
The old fart is a walking contradiction and typical of his ilk. Just the standard do as I say, not as I do.

His must be in home equity. His wife sold a vacation home that she inherited from her parents. Then bought another that fit her family. He has a house in Vt. and a modest condo in DC and Jane's vacation house.
Still--not a good look for someone running as a Socialist, advocating for all kinds of free stuff.

He's not looking too authentic.

Socialism and capitalism are not incompatible at all.

Look at Scandinavia as an example. All the Scandinavian nations are socialist democracies. They are all capitalists too.

Most 75 year olds don't need anywhere near a million dollars to live out their retirement. And the attack on Bernie isn't for accumulating wealth, but rather his opinion that taking other people's wealth is okay. Until he donates all of his excesses to the poor and lives like an average American I can't take his views on wealth seriously. If it is immoral to profit from a capitalist system then why is he doing so? Why does wealth suddenly become a problem at X threshold which Bernie conveniently sets higher than what he has?

Well it took him long enough considering what his salary has been. Up until 2017 I was worth more than Bernie and I never earned a 6 figure salary. Bernie is pretty much a walking cluster F&*k.

So Bernie should be dirt poor because of the policies he espouses?

No, but he has no problem with wealth redistribution. If he really believes in his policies, if it's more than just rhetoric, he can voluntarily pay more taxes. Don't use those deductions. LOL

He is an idealist. That doesn't make him a bad guy or evil. It makes him dangerous. Idealist see the world as a my way is the only right way mentality. Either with us or against us with no middle ground.

Before politics and making the big bucks Bernie's personal life was a train wreck. After decades of 6 figure salaries he is only now a millionaire.

So what people are saying. For decades Bernie ranted about millionaires. Now he is one. He doesn't have to use all those tax deductions and loopholes. After all Bernie and his followers scream about the rich using loopholes. Time to put up or shut up. LOL

A Millionaire ain't much.

Not even enough for a decent retirement for a couple/family.

Heck, these days that's about 8 years in a nursing home for ONE. Won't even cover he and his wife.
