Actually, you're making things up. We're not saying AGW is causing this storm. I just pointed that this storm is nothing that unusual. It has nothing to do with AGW, or the lack thereof.

After all, they're talking about global temperatures, not weather. Yet still, blame AGW for weather events.

See, they play both sides of every argument and therefore are never wrong.
It's terribly funny you should say that, because that's the exact same thing the deniers do. Including this very thread, which is claiming that a weather event indicates a lack of global warming.

It's amazing that somebody in a thread that blatantly and openly claims that a weather event says something about AGW, goes around accusing people on the other side of the argument of using weather events to say something about AGW!

The disruptions in worldwide weather patterns caused by global warming, result in greater extremes in weather. More frequent hurricanes, with stronger winds, colder snow and ice storms, heatwaves and heavier rains. We are seeing all these things happening around the planet, to an extent never known in the modern era.

Your reporting of this upcoming storm is contradictory to what you claim it is. But none of the alt-right talking points have any basis in fact. It can be said however, that those of your persuasion are consistent in their errors. All these assorted faulty interpretations seem to come as a package deal. It's as though there was a checklist that you all follow, to make sure you don't stray from the party line. What a shock that would be, if you found that you'd accidentally supported something that liberals accept as true!

You... don't understand that there is a difference between climate and weather?

Global warming charlatans wanted money, power, influence, and control. "Climate change" charlatans want money, power, influence, and control.

And I think we can all agree not to give it to them. But the real issues remain, regardless of what charlatans say or do.

Some confusion about this is understandable. In the past, scientists took the position that individual weather events could not be said to be caused by climate change, that weather and climate are two separate things, etc.

Now, however, a new science discipline is emerging, and that is "climate attribution." It takes a rigorous approach that analyzes an extreme weather event to determine if it was made worse by or largely driven by AGW.

When the United States is hit by a number of 1,000-year floods, record wildfires, record cold, record heat, and record drought over a period of less than 10 years, it's obvious something's out of whack.

That’s kind of the point. The weather is typical and has been regardless of the Climate Scientology religion money grab.

Global warming is not some hoax or money grab. Denying it is happening just makes you look foolish. The question is what to do about it, if anything. That's where the political spin and money grabbing comes in.

I think the weather is weather and a slight change is normal. A blizzard in April is normal within the grand scheme of things and cannot be used by either side to further their views.

Now we're starting to sound as bad as the global warmers who always sound like they're trying to convince others global warming is real for strictly political reasons and may not believe it is themselves.
Its weather. Its unseasonably warm for some days, unseasonably cold for others. Record warmth and then a freak cold snap and snow. Drought and then a flood. No hurricanes for years and then a few get just the right conditions and are disastrous.
