Progressive: " This here science book proves global warmification is real! Scienticians all agree!" Then proceeds to hit the naysayer over the head with it.

Yet you don't understand "science".

It is incumbent upon those making the hypothesis to disprove the null hypothesis.

AGW is the opposite of science. They make a claim and state that it is true unless you can unequivocally disprove it. It is like saying Pluto is made of gumballs and fudge. If you can't disprove it, it is true. See the absurdity of it? This is why the scientific method was developed- to bring rational thought and careful examination to explain natural phenomenon.

AGW takes "science" back 400 years before the scientific method and throws rational science out the window. It is an indisputable fact that the AGW crowd, who claim to support "science", don't understand.

Imagine believing this lmfao

Climate science is the same as all the other sciences. Its modern development can be traced all the way back to the late 19th century. There is an almost incomprehensible amount of data showing forcing relationships, feedback loops, the roles various greenhouse gases play, and on and on. Not to mention observations are lining up with predictions with respect to sea level rise, glacial retreat, arctic amplification, etc.

Your position requires the complicity of tens of thousands of people around the globe for a century and a half.

That is insane beyond comprehension. The denial on this issue is wholly unfathomable and almost exclusively unique to the American right wing. It's pathetic and sad and selfish and dangerous because people who hold this objectively incorrect position hold seats of power and stymie attempts to address the problem.

I hope you don't have children or grandchildren because they will are going to be forced to live in a warmer world with a more erratic climate and they're going to look at you and ask why you didn't do anything to prevent it.

Oh, sure, try bringing science into the debate. Everyone knows science is just a tool of Satan!

Yet another thread by someone who doesn't understand climate change. Geez.

The idiots who planned Target Field in Minneapolis said the Twins don’t need a retractable roof because our winters are just not as hard as they used to be due to climate change. Now they are starting to realize the magnitude of their idiocy.

The global average temperature is up 1C (1.8F) since preindustrial times. It’s still cold enough for snow in April in the northern plains.

You are only hearing what you want.

This has been explained a million times...and you still don't get it -- that's on you.

It snows every April in Wisconsin. I had to shovel it before I went to school.

Why Global Warming Can Mean Harsher Winter Weather

Most scientists agree that we need to differentiate between weather and climate. The NOAA defines climate as the average of weather over at least a 30-year period. So periodic aberrations—like the harsh winter storms ravaging the Southeast and other parts of the country this winter—do not call the science of human-induced global warming into question.
