Well, its up to 'the people' to stand up and take action too, I put some of the blame squarely on us...lets be honest, most of us here do not want to step up and take this kind of patriotic action, because it would probably result in us being arrested, thrown in jail, possibly labelled a domestic terrorist, loose our job, income, families, etc!!
Being patriotic has never been easy, convenient or popular...it takes decades or longer for someone to go from 'terrorist/criminal' to 'patriot/hero.'

I've been all over Europe (pre the wall coming down). In each and everyone of those countries you can be jailed, locked in a cage, if you say the wrong thing like, talk bad about Islam's supposed prophet, muhammed. How about the Canadian law that can cause you to be jailed, locked in a cage, if you refer to someone by the wrong pronoun.
