Universal healthcare, aka "single payer," is not the same as VA government-run and provided healthcare. I'm afraid your example just doesn't apply.

Actually not. My BCBS insured wife has shared the same facilities as Medicare patients.

Anyways Trump signed an executive order addressing the issue so problem will soon be solved.

VA has a spotty record. Seniors love Medicare, it's been a success for nearly 60 years. Apples vs oranges.

We seniors don't pay for Medicare. Working people do.

It’s a government run healthcare, is it not?

I'm a proponent of privatized healthcare. But this kind of ignorance portrayed by the OP makes it harder for those of us with a legitimate argument (for privatized healthcare). They spew low-intellect ignorance and give liberals a better foundation to stand on.

I'm a vet and VA healthcare is a mess. Not even in the same ballpark as medicare. Fortunately, I have private insurance.

People with mental health problems and especially Veterans suffering from PTSD are more prone to suicide.

In terms of the US, it has a real lack of mental health beds, and the VA at least offers some help, as US Mental Health Services can be a lottery or can be expensive in terms of some private mental health facilates.

Weren't private US Mental Health facilities throwing people out on the streets a few years ago.
