My Millennial's learned about the Holocaust in History class of their Catholic grade school, and I'm fairly certain it was covered in high school, as well.
I, too, find the numbers questionable.

It's not Millennials, it's people who believe that the holocaust either didn't happen, or was far less than reported.
It happened, and 6 million Jews and 3 million gypsies, mentally disabled, mentally ill, political prisoners and others were systematically exterminated.
to be clear, they were rounded up. their neighbors ratted them out. they were shipped via CATTLE CARS on trains to concentration camps.
they were stripped of their valuables and their clothes.
they were dehuminzed and put into slave labor camps where they suffered until their captors could get around to herding them into gas chambers and ovens built to incenerate them.
some simply died working and were tossed into mass graves.
6 million Jews. 9 million HUMAN BEINGS. systematically rounded up and slaughtered.
We are not taught the entire history of ww2 in this country..most of the fighting was done between Russia and Germany with as many as a million troops in huge battles..the Russian put KGB troops just behind the front lines and shot troops that did not advance..we in this country mostly cannot comprehend the brutality of that war
and yes Hitler did give out cash bonuses and houses and such to "performing generals"...11 million Germans were "resettled" after the war (borders)and 2 million are still uncounted for
Then why doesn't it have chapters in history books? Why aren't there countless documentaries about it like there are about the Nazi Holocaust? Why haven't there been Hollywood movies made about it?

Mao is responsible for 80 million deaths. Stalin about 40 million. Hitler about 12 million. Yet it is beaten into our heads that Hitler was the worst human being to ever live. Why is that?

Unbelievable. 12 million Chinese murdered for the crime of owning property, and professional victims find a way to ignore that fact of history to advance their own victimhood status.
