Golly, if there is nothing to explain and all was above-board, Barr should be anxious to have this public hearing to clear his name and rebut the interpretations and perceptions of his words and actions all of which have told the world he is a liar and fixer.

Apparently he was hired to be Mr. Trump's personal defense attorney, in other words, as you said, his liar & fixer.

He's just bluffing, he'll fold.

There's nothing to clear his name of, he's the Attorney General and he's going a magnificent job of handling this while also ramping up the investigation of those who tried to bring down our President. Barr will go down in history as one of the finest AGs we've ever had.

The Cover Up General was brought in to make a forced emergency landing.

He's been there before:

WILLIAM BARR’S BEEN ACCUSED OF A PRESIDENTIAL COVER-UP BEFORE

The attorney general has spent much of his career protecting presidents. Will the Mueller report be any different?

Quote:
“People in the Iran-Contra affair have been treated very unfairly,” Barr told USA Today in December 1992, blasting the charges as illegitimate. “People in this Iran-Contra matter have been prosecuted for the kind of conduct that would not have been considered criminal or prosecutable by the Justice Department.”

...He successfully advocated the pardon of six former White House aides, including those convicted of lying to Congress or withholding information during the investigation. The six-year probe centered around allegations that the Reagan administration had secretly sold weapons to Iran despite an arms embargo, then clandestinely funneled the proceeds to anti-Communist rebels in Nicaragua.

Mueller was barr-ed ( i.e. William Barr-ed ) from indicting a sitting President although not legally barred from presenting the facts & evidence. Nor was he barred from performing his Constitutional duties & responsibilities as per his oath of office.

Some people have mistakenly assumed that because the Department of Justice has a policy preventing it from prosecuting a sitting president, the president can not thereby actually commit a crime. Sort of a 'divine right of kings' type of theory. This the beating heart of the idea of an imperial presidency.

AG Barr seems to believe this (based upon his previous work), but SC Mueller definitely does not. Mueller addresses this in the report, stating clearly "no man is above the law".

Once president Trump has left office, he is vulnerable to prosecution for any Federal crimes not beyond the statute of limitations. Trump knows this.

No one seems to know how many sealed indictments there are, nor for whom they are intended. They are like time bombs that may go off as soon as he has moved out of the white house.

To Trump, this next campaign is not about America, it is a fight for reputation and legacy, possibly some of his property (the Federal government confiscates ill-gotten gains) and also his brand.

It is also a fight for his life and his liberty. He knows what he has done ... he knows how serious these allegations are.

Trump wanted him because he's good and everyone knew he would beat democrats at their own game, that's why you hate him.
