Barr hoped he would preempt Congressional action - and influence voter perception - taking it upon himself - a biased fixer for now three presidents - to mischaracterize (lie) and pass judgment on the report. I think Pelosi is pretty darn mad about it. Trump impeachment process is going nowhere because of the Senate - but Barr shouldn't be allowed to get away with this. The House should begin impeachment proceedings against Barr for violation of his oath of office. He lied about the Mueller Report in writing (his 3/24 letter) and in words today. "No collusion" was meaningless. Mueller investigated possible conspiracy and has outlined numerous events evidencing Trump and his campaign complicit in Russian interference.

everybody knew Wikileaks was going to dump Hillary's emails. That wasn't a secret. Funny, Mueller didn't mention anything in his report that the Trump camp knew about the hacks before they occurred.......that would be a conspiracy to commit a crime and I didn't see that in Mueller's report.....maybe you read the cracker crack report.

.
tons of evidence????? so why did Mueller conclusion on obstruction said:

Quote:
Because we determined not to make a traditional prosecutorial judgment, we did not draw ultimate conclusions about the President's conduct. The evidence we obtained about the President's actions and intent present difficult issues that would need to be resolved if we were making a traditional prosecutorial judgment. At the same time, if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, we are unable to reach that judgment. Accordingly, while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does exonerate him.
I have never seen a criminal investigation that has tons of evidence of a crime and then concludes nobody committed a crime. That is some serious flip flop but don't worry, Mueller will have all the time to explain it to Senators like Rand Paul and Mike Lee and explain to them his flip flops and inconsistencies in his report.

Now Mueller has to back his report under oath and under cross-examination by lawyers that know the law.

Agree. One of the basic principals of the US Constitution is that no one is above the law. The intent of the checks & balances (also embedded) is to ensure.

Trump's initial reaction to Jeff Sessions upon hearing of the appointment of the special counsel says it all...

his personal reaction to the SC or his feelings has nothing to do with the investigation.....what did you expect Trump to do, to jump up and down in joy because they named a SC to investigate him and put a cloud on his administration of charges he knew were false and political?

One of the indictments stemming from Mr. Mueller's investigations charged that Russian organizations & individuals tried to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails on July 27, 2016. Coincidentally this was the same day that Donald Trump publicly asked them to do so.

As George Conway has said:
Quote:
Americans should expect far more than merely that their president not be provably a criminal.
None of the charges were false or political. The allegations on both issues of conspiracy and obstruction are well supported by the evidence gathered by Mueller - and it is clear to me Mueller would surely have brought charges on obstruction had DOJ policy permitted.

Instead, Mueller laid out a very clear road map for Congress - which we all know will do nothing.

At the very least, Barr should be ousted. He is NOT working for the Constitution, the integrity of the presidency, or our form of government and its institutions.

And there is this...
Quote:
President Trump committed “multiple acts” aimed at obstructing the Russia investigation, but was ultimately saved from being charged with a crime in part because his top aides refused to carry out his orders.

That, in effect, is a principal conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report that, while clearing Trump or his campaign officials of criminally conspiring with the Russians during the 2016 election, documents with damning new details the president’s efforts to impede and shut down the Russia probe after he took office.

Trump was wrong here. Ruhshun Cuhlooshun was indeed a big nothing burger. I wish our president hadn't worried himself so much over the DNC-Media-Deep State's attempt at a coup.
