Run and hide...the commies are coming!!!!!

Fear mongering 101. And complete ignorance of the difference between Communism, Socialism and Democratic Socialism. Try Google, it helps.

The Democrat base consists primarily of two groups (with exceptions of course):

1) The poor and uneducated who want more free stuff
2) The affluent class who want to provide it for them, using other people's money

OTOH, the Republican base is made up of lower-middle and middle-income people, working hard to get by on moderate pay.

That about sums it up, except you forgot there is a huge independent section as well, the majority of which decided to cast their lot with Trump instead of Hillary last time around.

I have a 29 year old. I think you've hit the nail on the head. All these young adults... we sent them to university, only to have a large number of them finish up - some with loads of student debt - only for them to find that their prospects of finding a really good job weren't all that great. (I realize there are exceptions, but this was still the case for MANY of these kids.)

We had record numbers of them moving back home so they could pay their debts off by exchanging what should have been rent money for loan repayment. (I also work with a 29 and 30 year old, both of whom are still living at home.)

Even the ones who found relatively well-paying jobs soon realized that in a lot of high COL places, their jobs still weren't going to allow them the ability to buy their own homes.

Is it any surprise the idea of free college or student loan relief is resonating? I don't think this idea is a winning issue for Bernie, as it has limited appeal across the board. Trying to give some insight as to why he's still seeing some popularity. What I'd like to see is a candidate - no matter which party - come up with some other ideas about how to deal with this issue.

Yes, and that speaks to how bad a candidate Hillary was. I knew many liberals who refused to vote for Trump, but they couldn't pull the lever for Hillary, either. That's all it took for Trump to win.

And with this ridiculous cast of characters parading around for the D nomination, the identical thing will happen again. Trump until 2025.

Well................... it may take them 40-50 years of human suffering and misery (similar to what other communist nations experienced) to "educate" them in communism.

It is too bad they just don't ask people who used to live in the USSR or the eastern block nations- it would be much easier. Perhaps even taking a field trip to Venezuala or Cuba would educate them (but probably not).

I don't need to stick my hand in a fire to understand the damaging effects of fire. It appears as though liberals need to stick their hand in the fire just to be sure.

Blah blah blah...

Bernie is talking about the Nordic model... A Highly Capitalistic economy, encouraging entrepreneurs, with a very flat tax system, with a strong safety net, looking out for its citizens. And not trying to make a buck out of every single thing people need in their lives.

When every other country on earth, is bankrolling their kids education, because they NEED educated, smart and talented people to compete in the world, the Right Wing in America is fine with getting fewer and fewer highly educated people, who will earn more over their lifetimes, and be saddled with enourmus student loans, instead of paying of a house loan.

Wanting to see that our fellow Americans can afford to see a doctor = Communism. LOL

People sure are coming unhinged that pure greed is no longer at the top of many people's list of admirable traits.

No, they have just taken over the Democrat party. The Democrat party isn't America. Many Democrats are Walkingaway.

Pure greed was never an American quality nor admirable trait. But I get why the left must feel this way. Without victimhood, they have nothing.
