As Christians and non-Christians alike stood in solidarity on Monday and mourned the loss of a cathedral that Pope Francis humbly labeled an "architectural jewel of a collective memory," the halls of social media were occasionally disrupted by vocal minorities of hard leftists who reveled in Notre Dame's destruction.

The left hates any symbols of Christianity and the religion itself, thus it's uncomfortable alliance with Islam, as both are allies against Christianity.

The left despises Christianity (as have all communist regimes) as it is an impediment to total loyalty and faith in the state. Totalitarian regimes seek to ban and or undermine religion in order to consolidate power.

It is interesting that the left appears to despise anything that is good and decent in the world.

That's right. Lie and tell the world the exact opposite of reality in hopes they will believe it and it will cover your own sins. Disgusting.

Such an ignorant tweet from that girl, French colonialism is one thing we are not to be proud of, but Notre Dame is a church that has been around well before any colonialism era. Most of the items taken from the colonialism era are probably in a museum, not in that church...

Civilizational aliens and cultural parasites.

WHY is it you chose to not put what the cited article said as in "occasionally disrupted by vocal minorities" in your thread title and chose "Hard Left Celebrates" instead?

Too much truth that might weaken your 'damn left' whine?

That some people post trash on Twitter is sufficient to use a broad brush to paint the left ?

That's the division that's been brewing. People in their echo chambers taking something like this and applying it to everyone who isn't firmly in their camp. Meanwhile no one in their daily life is promoting such views and they're getting upset by some troll on twitter.

That's kind of schizoid thinking. The Pope is as far left as they come and he can't be happy about an iconic cash cow like that going up in flames. But the left is schizoid and stupid.
