Bonnie is a single mother of two kids. She works as a full-time grocery store cashier and makes about $30K before taxes. Her rent is about $1200 a month. She told me she does not get any subsidy. After taxes, she makes about $2000 a month.

What programs are available to her to keep her from becoming homeless and paying for her child care, food, utilities, transportation, etc? Would she be eligible for food stamps? Can she get rent subsidies, easily or is there a huge waiting list? What other ways are her costs subsidized?

As a taxpayer do you feel angry that you have to subsidize Bonnie and her kids? How do the millions of low income but working full-time single mothers survive and pay their bills? Any case studies/real-life examples?

1. Why is Bonnie single?
2. Where's Daddy? Can she get child support?
3. She needs to find a roommate and slash her costs.

Why does it matter?

Maybe she made a mistake as a teenager.
Maybe she was raped, and didn't believe in abortion.

Maybe her husband beat her or cheated multiple times on her and she had to get divorced.
Maybe she is divorced because her husband left her for another woman.

Maybe she is a widow.

Maybe she was married and her husband died
young of cancer? Maybe her husband was in a car accident and died. Maybe her husband went to war for America
and was killed. Maybe her husband was one of the victims of gun violence in America.

2. Where's Daddy? Can she get child support?
Not if her husband is dead...or a dead beat, as so many seem to be.

3. She needs to find a roommate and slash her costs.
She could do this maybe...if she could find a roommate who wouldn't care that she had a child/children...or
who she could trust to be around her child/children.

If the corporations that rake in billions of dollars would pay their employees a decent wage and provide decent benefits, this would be a nonissue. Instead they pay their CEO's multiple millions of dollars salary per year, and the rest of their employees peanuts.
I am not saying that the CEO shouldn't make a good living, but not at the expense of
slave labor for the rest of the work force.

Bonnie has no family that helps with supporting her ?

First thing I'd do is buy her some duct tape to tape her knees together.

You're going down the wrong road here. Bonnie got herself into this situation with apparently poor decisions. Bonnie needs to get herself out of the situation.

Bonnie lives in Podnuk Oklahoma where the average wage is $24k a year and has a very good job where her company pays her $30k a year.

Get off your rant. Maybe Bonnie works at the locally owned Card shop that barely makes a profit. Most companies in the US are not Mega Corporations. If Bonnie aint happy, quit work and go find a better job.

Unless one of those horrible CEO's () got Bonnie pregnant, they bear no responsibilty for Bonnie or her children.

How is it a bad decision if her husband left her for another woman? How is it a bad decision
if her husband died in the Military supporting our Country?

There are many mega corporations that do do, just what I was talking about, and as to the smaller businesses
..yes they are exempt from many wage/benefit laws, and so she should look for another job...if she can find one.

Your compassion and empathy levels are amazing...but exactly what I would expect from the right and "Christian" party.
It is one of the exact reason that our Middle class has dwindled down in size.
