"Figures don't lie but, liars figure"

"The Associated Press finds that Clinton won 487 counties nationwide, compared with 2,626 for President-elect Donald Trump."

A good con knows how to fool his marks. I'll give Trump an A+ on that subject. He is undoubtedly a very good charlatan. Even now, his marks are still fooled.
Agreed, 100%.

Here is my hope for 2020: As Abe Lincoln once said, "You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

I think the Democrats would be wise to NOT impeach Trump but let the Mueller report show all of Trump's very visible warts.

For example, the Mueller report documents how he threw his own son under the bus when the meeting with the Russians at Trump tower was about to become public.

Initially, Trump Junior drafted a statement that fessed up to the real intent of the meeting: getting dirt on Hillary. But his father said no. His father demanded that the statement be revised to omit the motivation for the meeting. So junior complied and misled the public.

Lots of great campaign adds to be gleaned from the Mueller report. Run a good candidate in 2020 and the independents will see the light.

And how is this different from the Democrats who want to dictate how much money people earn, where they live, and how long they live?

Refer to my post No. 28 in this thread which states my thoughts on the 2016 election (i.e., Trump ran a better campaign, etc.).

But in regards to your bolded/underlined portion above...uh are you kidding?

You are quoting the number of counties won? Treebeard's analysis of how close those few key states were is PRECISELY correct. That is how the electoral math is decided. Your reference to counties is manipulating numbers to say what you want.

It looks to me you are confused.

"Your reference to counties is manipulating numbers"

EXACTLY!

My POINT is popular vote, county vote, urban vote or anything else doesn't mean a hill of beans.

We have since our inception, used the Electoral College. PERIOD.

NOTHING else matters.

So it was close, So What.

You can lose the Super Bowl by 1 point, and you still LOSE. You DON'T GET THE TROPHY.

You can play all the "what if" games you want and Trump will STILL be the President, so quit crying over spilled milk.

Grow and get over it.

You'll have another chance next year. Work on that instead of wallowing in the past.

There are no good candidates from the democratic party. What do the democrats have to offer? Open borders, coddling illegal immigrants, and killing middle class people with tax increases to fund "medicare for all" and other socialist give aways.

It will be a Trump vote again, and almost without hesitation from me -- unless something changes between now and then. If Trump does something seriously stupid, or is caught in bed with a dead girl, or a live boy -- then I'll simply sit out the election and watch the circus.

How was the Broke DNC funded? Why did the DNC pick Hillary over Bernie? The people picked Bernie.
Clinton Foundation money! Hillary had full control over the DNC bought and paid for. Ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz & Donna Brazile.

The DNC was funded the usual way. Donations.

The DNC favored Hillary over Bernie, because, after all, it is a Democratic organ. Bernie isn't a Democrat. Why would a party favor someone who only became a member of the party for convenience?

The people picked Hillary. Bernie supporters might not like that, but Democrats picked a Democrat to represent them in the election.
