You know how you know that many voters were influenced by Russia is to look at the number of posts and threads that repeated Russian inspired conspiracy theories and memes. They are legion here and other boards. The brilliance of the Russian strategy is that to this day, these people still do not realize they were being used as Russian useful idiots.
Having said that I expect that most would have voted for Trump regardless. However given the infinitesimally small amount of the vote that won Trump the election in some states, I have no doubt that Russian-inspired useful idiots and the spreading of lies could have swung those voters.
Either that or retarded Hillary thought she didn't have to campaign in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and the Democrat Party thinks they can shove unpopular policies down out throats..
It is impossible to ever know just how much the Russians influenced any of us.
The research tools haven't been devised yet for anyone to know how much the internet affects our thinking and how it happens. The net does influence us all, but in many different ways and differently in each age group, nationality, or usage.
The 2016 election outcome was unpredictable, even if the Russians hadn't tried to influence it. The conditions that caused 2016 to be so unpredictable existed before the Russians ever put their attempt together. At this time in 2015, no one even knew who the nominees would be. Even after the election, there was a lot of dissention that had begun as far back as 2008.
The internet itself has drastically changed since 2016, and that makes developing research tools even harder, as the event is now 3 years or more in the past.
Given all this, I think it will take many years of study to determine how the effects of the Russians actually happened. How much influence they had on our minds would still be an unknown after that.
Somebody besides me on this board must have been influenced by the Russians.
I can honestly admit that I only voted for TRUMP because I was influenced by Russia a few days before election day.
Did I miss when you explained how you were influenced by Russians?
I believe that the election was over in the Summer of 2016 and if most voters were not decided by then the Comey interview pushed them over the edge. You know the one where he laid out all the crimes that Hillary was guilty of on national TV and then at the end he said "never mind".
The way I saw it Trump was a gamble but Hillary was a sure thing of lies, deceit and more backdoor politics with the media covering for her.
Fine, you got me. Putin came to me in a dream and told me if I didn't vote for Trump he would send the Russians to get me and he also said I have to vote for Trump in 2020 or else. Sorry guys I'm so ashamed I let the Russians influence me to vote for Trump but you must understand how scared I am of the Russians.
Nothing I tell ya, I saw nothing........................
That scene had nothing to do with the election... Schultz was working the Hillary e-mail case for the FBI at that time!
