They didn't burn it. The nut inside rigged it to burn so they could go out in a blaze of glory.
Did the feds use flame throwers or something? What is the matter with some of you.....
The gas they pumped in, gets volatile at a certain concentration. They used the tanks to pump it in via 55 gallon drums. And when it burns, turns into cyanide. Hence the twisted/contorted bodies of those trapped inside.
Koresh is responsible for his actions alone. Each individual who was there was responsible for their own actions.
Guys like the OP always say that...until they don't.
Selective application of the basics.....
I've had two family members killed...one "death by cop" of a challenged young man and other "death by Scientology"....both were avoidable. In the first case, despite warnings, his dad who had guns refused to keep them locked up. In the 2nd case...well, there are lots of dead people around such cults.
" L. Ron Hubbard has proclaimed that all critics of Scientology are criminals."
The one guy who jumped out of the inferno testified during a congress/senate investigation, that a fireball had shot down the hallway when he opened the door. He was in the 2nd story I believe...
.
So you are effectively claiming that the buildings broke every type of building and fire code imaginable? Doesn't Waco or Texas enforce the very basics? I know lots of stuff blows up there due to lack of regulations....
Buildings which house multiple families or large gathering have to be build with firewalls, alarms....sometimes sprinklers and other such safety devices.
What was the situation there?
"The new Mount Carmel Center consisted of a main church building (constructed primarily of thin plywood, taking advantage of a lack of building codes at the time)"
Well, whatever happened to personal responsibility? You build a church building of thin plywood and then set it on fire (according to Branch Davidian Survivors, evidence, etc.)....and then blame the big bad gubment?
I think the State of Texas is a party here for their "freedom to build what you want"...

Koresh and his followers are responsible for their own actions. Government murdered them plain and simple. They was no need to use force. It was a gutless move by the ATF.
I still don't understand why they had to burn that compound. They could have just waited it out.
It had to go down, it was exhibit A in the case against the gov.
