And poor little Donny seems awfully whiny for someone allegedly been completely exonerated. But yeah, they ALL must be witch hunts, after all, prisons are full of innocent people, just ask them.

How do you obstruct an investigation into a crime that never occurred when the "investigation" is, in fact, an attempted coup?

Judging from all the posts and threads on this forum, he's not the only one who is scared.

I still think Trump is leaving this area open for possible cause for Impeachment. He has not attempted to counter Russian efforts to sway elections in the USA, nor has he made public comments condemning their actions. Allowing a foreign government to continue propaganda efforts to sway elections is a serious problem.

It still remains to be seen why Trump is so soft on Putin given his direct aggression toward the US election system.
This poster gets it! So good to see informed rationality and good common sense.

We are still waiting for our president to take the lead in defending our elections from foreign meddling, this one is so vain and guilt obsessed he refuses to publicly admit we have had a problem. This is the time for leadership, and Trump will not provide it.

The idea that you can't be guilty of obstruction of justice if you only try to do it, or if the underlying crime is not proven is just silly. There is simply no legal precedence to back that up.

Most amusing when we look at what actually happened and we see the collusion delousion !!!

The Russian meddling in the 2016 election happened while Trump was a private citizen on Obama's watch as president. The corruption was in the democrat party that worked to help Putin achieve what he couldn't on his own. The democrats are unwilling to be lead by anyone unless they are corrupt. They hate transparency.
The collusion truthers have had the curtain pulled back on them and they are naked.

No one's making that argument, and you know that. The fact that there was no underlying crime, however, means any claim of a "corrupt" intent is highly dubious (in general), and it is absent in this particular case. So you lose on that in every single alleged instance of supposed obstruction for that reason alone, but there is also no nexus to any proceeding, and no obstructive conduct to begin with. You have none of the elements of obstruction on anything Trump did. It's all made up by Team Mueller to hurt Trump politically, which was the whole point iof the investigation to begin with.

Beyond the absence of any of the elements of obstruction, Trump would have a number of affirmative defenses including entrapment, private necessity, and public necessity. Finally, this investigation was illegitimate and deserved to be obstructed, but Trump let it play out without one iota of interference.
