some pro-choice states legally allowing abortion up until the 'clump of cells' passes through the birth canal and magically becomes a human have reaped a pushback....and rightly so!

Not a surprise to me.

No they don’t. If Fox News said they do, they’re lying.

It all comes down to the sincere personal belief that a person is a person with the right to live from the moment of conception, not a later point. Both her stance, and my disagreement with it, go right to that particular starting point, and it all flows from there. I mean, I'm very much of the opinion in general of "do what you want if it doesn't harm someone else." I don't see an embryo as a "someone." She does.
Except some of those same people believe its ok to abort in cases of rape or incest or they have no such feelings of rights of personhood for IVF embryos or miscarriages.
Thats where I call BS. If you sincerely believe that an an embryo is a person from the moment of conception then there are no exceptions and every embryo/fetus should have all the same rights as a born person.

Yep. Are the lives of children who were conceived by rape worth less than the lives of children who were willfully conceived? If preserving the viability of the fetus takes primacy over the desires and rights of the mother — which is what anti-choicers and anti-women's rights activists are saying as they oppose legal abortions — then it shouldn't matter how that fetus was conceived.

Including being a tax deduction from the moment of conception.

Guttmacher Institute: You know, the one with the connection to PP??

  • Nearly half (45%) of all pregnancies among U.S. women in 2011 were unintended, and about four in 10 of these were terminated by abortion.1

  • Nineteen percent of pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) in 2014 ended in abortion.2

Better open the barn door. The cows are home.

Sonic-Spork, are you watching? Pretty much >75% of my posts? End up with me being insulted in some way.

2014 CDC report below. It is an older study, but newtovenice wasn't too far off.

According to the most recent national estimates, 18% of all pregnancies in the United States end in abortion (39).
